vRS mode button has arrived

Featured Replies

An L&K will just have mode.... because it's not a vRS....

yEs i know that, point im making is the vrs were fitted with mode as well, im asking is it hit and miss still or is it a std its just terminology on a button, not really worth 40 quid really, id rather put 40 quid in fuel myself and have fun, then it would be a boring world if we were all the same

Should it have  " Slow " & " Not to slow  " written on it then   :bandit:

Does anyone know if there's enough room on the button in the L&K TSIs to type: 'Faster than a TDI vRS'...? :wonder: ;)

That's not bad, how about the part number for vRS mode for cars with power boot but nothing else? :)

From what I can figure out 5E2927238PWHS is for vRS with rear parking sensors only plus power tailgate. Again the price is the same £40.38 inc vat and it's on back order so will have to come from czech

Cheers - looking for anything later than 0370 :)

Not had a chance to look into this yet but my car's going in for a week on Monday to have several issues looked at plus a service. As they're helpful I'll see what i can find out whilst I'm there.

Great thread, Back1980 good find, Bouff34 nice save from looking like a green eyed monster, telboy5 you know money doesn't come into it you've just gotta have it also both auric goldfinger and Damage Limitation I know a **** take when I read one but, your posts did make me chuckle.

As a non-vRS owner I CGAF but, I do like being a member of a forum that has members whom can find out this kinda stuff, more please.

Regards

I have now got the part numbers for every specification combination for the vRS mode buttons and they are as follows

Std vRS 5E2927238LWHS

vRS + Park Assist 5E2927238NWHS

vRS + Front & Rear Parking Sensors 5E2927238MWHS

vRS + Power Tailgate 5E2927238PWHS

vRS + Park Assist & Power Tailgate 5E2927238RWHS

vRS + Front &Rear parking Sensors & Power Tailgate 5E2927238QWHS

The vRS mode button is standard on all vehicles built from 04/14->

Please note these are only for RHD vehicles and are all on back order at the moment!

Naming the button "Mode" seems the more apt option to me . After all, what do Eco and Normal options have to do with a "VRS" button? Are there not enough VRS logos inside and outside these cars already?

You're totally right, afterall when in Eco mode the vRS Mode button will be lit..... doesn't really make sense...

The "vRS" button is the same as the "drive mode" button for selecting Eco, Normal, Sport or Individual modes through the infotainment system. No harm in adding an additional logo as if you've bought one built after April 2014 it will have this button fitted anyway, this is just for early adopters like myself that have got the the normal "drive mode" button and may wish to change it.

This is true and I'm going to check when I drop my car off at the dealers on Monday as to what their demo has got and any differences it may have.
