cornering fogs

Featured Replies

Does anybody else dislike cornering fogs, seen on many cars and always looks like you have one bulb out, and many are used during daylight.......would prefer to use as drl's.

I don't dislike them at all.

Just kidding. ;)

I see other cars with them and think 'cool - they have cornering fogs too'. Only uninformed people would think you have a bulb out.

It's like coming home lights, I've been stopped by a random a couple of times and been told I've left my lights on - they look again, the lights are off, and I say 'See...' :)

I'm not uninformed I just think there useless during daylight and if you just catch sight of them they look like one is not working.

They should only work when the main lights are on though - hence when it's dark!

Often see them functioning during daylight hours. I'll get flamed for this, I know, but personally I think they're one of the most ridiculous car features available. Now to find somewhere to hide!

I quite like the idea of illuminating the road as you go around a corner... but the bendy lights on the vRS does the job much better than putting on a single fog light ever would.

They work at different speeds though so you benefit in two different ways.

Wasn't suggesting you were uninformed, you obviously know what they are!

I agree they should only work when the main lights are on (aka night) - but given how keen the auto-lights are to work at the first sign of a cloud in the sky, it's not surprising to me that they come on when they are not required.

I find them VERY useful when pulling into tight drives/roads at night.
