Clutch Pedal Click Fix Hasn't Worked..

Featured Replies

clutch pedal has a tpi to change clutch pedal box and gearbox stiff when cold is recomended gearbox oil change as some may have been filled with an oil ment for hotter countries so too thick for ours when cold

My wife had the clutch pedal kit fitted when her Mii was 6 months old but it's just had to be done again. This time the garage also fitted 2 new bushes that they said don't come with the kit.  Hopefully this will fix it.

So recent build cars have the same fault?.

Ours (brand new Colour edition) went in twice; first time to change a 'switch' and you can guess that didn't work and second time they changed the pedal and assembly and now the clicking has gone.

The clicking has gone, they changed the amp in the aerial and now we can listen to the radio but we have a tyre pressure warning fault now - it did go in last week and they changed the 'switch' but it's came straight back on.

I think my dealer has a parts bin full of switches which they have labelled "try this first"

My Wife now has a new Citigo, (only 1 month old) & we traded in her 13 plate Fiat 500 for it.

No probs (yet) with clutch pedal click but, the Fiat 500 that we traded in did have the problem.

It was an intermitent problem that I could feel through the clutch pedal.

It wasn't loud enough to hear but I could feel a sort of a 'notchiness' when taking my foot off the pedal.

It used to dive me mad.

I used to get out of the car, grab the clutch pedal & pull & push it sideways a few times then get back into the car.

This seemed to cure it for a while but after a period it was always liable to come back.

So, try giving your clutch pedal a good sideways yank a few times to see it it helps.

Hi Ronn,

we went down the legal route and rejected our Citigo and after much work had a full refund of our deposit and handed the courtesy car back. It was an experience best forgotten and will keep us from the Skoda brand and most probably the local VW group dealer network as their customer service etc. left a lot to be desired. Our biggest regret was handing in a p/x which was a fabulous MR2 Roadster hardtop/ac, which we had pampered and was in tip top condition. I trawl pages regularly to see if it is for sale somewhere as I would buy it back tomorrow :(

We replaced the Citigo with an Aygo X-clusive and after 9000 miles have had nothing but a smile on our face...........its what we wanted the Citigo to be but it never happened.

I'm one month into ownership of a 64 plate Citigo and my clutch pedal has just started to click (10,000 miles), however the strange one is it only happens in the cold weather.

Once the heating kicks in and the car interior has warmed up - no clicking.

While cold it click on pressing or releasing the clutch, right at the last couple millimetres of upper travel.

Any ideas???

My wife previously owned a Fiat 500.

The same issue of clutch pedal clicking occurred when releasing the clutch.

I could feel it also, through my foot.

The problems stated after the car had been ‘recalled’ by Fiat to have some wiring re-routed down the Steering Column due to a Fire risk. The work was carried out by a Fiat dealership.

I discovered that, by pulling the carpets back around the Pedal Box & ‘waggling’ the Pedal Lever sideways, I cured it (for a while).

so, maybe the Pedal Box is lose of not correctly aligned.
