:gay: ;)

and a fabia isnt

just joking ;)

Easy tiger

 No because 300+ BHP per ton in a rear wheel drive car is normal

It wasnt a stab at speed i just think they are a bit poor, not my thing!

I know they are fast IF you can actually get the power down!!!!!! I might give one a split second attention but compared to something like a cobra they are just a glorified gokart

I couldnt possibly imagine owning one permanantly and imagine it would be quite tedious, i can think of better cars to kill myself in

I bet going out in any other weather condition than dry roads isnt the fun you might first imagine!

and a fabia isnt

just joking ;)

And that is it - anything else is GAY ! :gay:

The mgf is a super drive and comparable driving wise to some pretty cool sports cars, the elise springs to mind but like the elise i wouldnt want one

VX220?

Nissan 350Z? Might be a tough call to get a convertible for

Toyota MR2??

  • Author

VX220 & MR2 = absolutely no boot space.

Need to be able to carry a pasenger and a small (very) suitcase.

350Z - would rather have a car that was built to be convertable rather than a normal car with the roof cut off (and I wouldn't be able too afford one )

Mazda RX8?.....err Mini? :o- Toyota Celica....

  • Author

Unfortunately you cant get an RX8 with a rag top. Which is a bloody shame cos if you could I'd deffinately have one.

Mini has 4 seats (and I'd dont think you're allowed to buy one unless you're female!)

yeah i was meant to delete the mini ....lol errr hmmm 307 cc? a4 carbriolet....

Still 10 seconds to 60 even in the brabus version.

Shame really cos I like the idea of them and they're great value for money. Just think I need a bit more power!

I've never had to use the 0-60 in it at all. Its the old "must have power to enjoy the drive" view on things.... but this isnt the case at all.

Its like i've said about the smart city coupe, if you know how to drive it in its element (which the UK has a lot of for roadsters) then its probably unbeatable.

I did a B road drive in the roadster from Alton Towers to Monyash (village near it) and tomtom reckoned i would do it in 45 mins. 30 minutes after setting off i was in the pub with an Abbot in my hand :D

All i can say i suppose is go out and drive each one, here's me bigging up the car i have but then thats expected because i own one, but out of the others my short list (of ones i would drive then consider) would be:

MX5 (old or new) or even the Eunos Roadster for its spec

VX220

erm..... that about it really :) (notice how the above are probably the best handling 3 in their class)

What no 206CC in there, or vauxhall tigra?!

Its the old "must have power to enjoy the drive" view on things....

The Smart City-Coupe/Roadster give a very involving drive without having to be doing silly speeds. So they're still fun, and your licence is pretty safe...unless a copper catches you going sideways... :D

Would definitely recommend trying one - everyone I know (except me) who has test driven one has ordered one, so it can't be all that bad!

Rob.

only read the first post, but get the boxter, 60k is not a problem, the best car from your list.....

how about a really cool smart crossblade!! :D

The mini may have 4 seats but it only has room for two pairs of legs.

Do you have any double amputee friends

Lotus Esprit v8 or a vx 220 non turbo.

I'd still have a lotus elise.Mate always took his to Le Mans + girlfriend + some luggage+ provisions for camping(somehow)

You either want a sporstcar or you don't ;) .Anyway,

  • Author

Really? I didn't think the elise had any boot at all. Cool!!

Must check that out - cheers!
