Just in case anyone else is in the mood to pick up a 3m kitchen worktop, then yes it will fit in a Superb II Estate, with the boot closed.  Very happy with this, as otherwise I'd have been sawing the end off in Wickes car park with a handsaw :-)

 

Ah, the joys of owning a Superb estate...

 

I just love going to Ikea with the girlfriend and going to the restaurant, sipping a coffee while keeping an eye out on the loading bay...inevitably you'll see something like Fiat 500 or a Suzuki Wagon R+ pull up next to a cart with a bed, closet, bathtub, new roof for the house and a cage for the pet elephant on it. Hilarity ensues, although quite often there are some marital issues aswell!

And you still had room to fit the kids in their rear-facing seats, by the look if it.

Also looks a vary handy place to put your coffee whilst driving home.:0)
