Featured Replies

Looking to buy a rear bumper protector,

Thanks guys,

Derek.

I've got the stainless steel one from Germany - not fitted it yet but the quality is unquestionable. Perfectly form fitting and very nicely made.

Had a black plastic one on the C4 - did the job but faded quickly and went grey. Was a constant battle using plastic restorer products to make it look good and keep it that way for any length of time.

Yep - bought it in the pack with the 4 metal sill protectors - was cheaper than buying them all separately. Came to about £70 plus postage.

Is the boot opening the exact same shape on toledo / rapid?  The rear end styling is the biggest difference between the two and most aftermarket parts are for the skoda.

Ah , good point, it's the Toledos I have.

Nearly ordered as well ! Think you saved me some cash lol

Thanks

I thought the rear bumper was the same on both cars (which is why the rear mudflaps for the Rapid also fit the Toledo). If the bumper is indeed the same, then the Rapid boot lip protector will fit the Toledo. If the bumper is different, then worth checking with the seller.

The door sill protectors definitely fit the Toledo as the door frames are definitely identical for both cars.

Has anyone bought a bumper protector from rearguards.co.uk?

Any good?

Any good?

I bought one for my Octavia vRS MkII FL hatch.  Web-site said it was only for pre-FL but as bumper is the same fitted perfectly.  The Rearguards' product covers the whole width of the bumper recess and also goes up the 'sides' to the bottom of the tail-lights.  I gave it a couple of coats of black plastic polish before fitting.

Bought it and sill protectors from Superskoda.

both great and do the job

brought mine from superskoda with the black door sills and chrome seat handles insert took 5 days to come all came to £73. with p+p

Have never bought anything from Superskoda, but assume easy to deal with?

Any photos please Zombiebenny?

Thanks...

Unless it rains, I'm finally fitting all my bits to the car on Wednesday.

Going on the car will be:

Chromed rear boot lip protector

Chromed sill plates

Chromed "Passat Style" strip along the bottom of the boot lid

Heko wind deflectors on all 4 doors

Rain deflectors on both wing mirrors

Still waiting for a discount code from SuperSkoda so I can order the chrome grill inserts.

Cheers mate. I chose it as it looks more OEM than the OEM one. If that makes sense. I also have the OEM loading protector....

You chose well with the boot lip protector - my only concern is whether it will fade once weathered. My black plastic mudflap are already going grey after just 5 months on the car, and after the black plastic boot lip protector I had on the C4 went very grey very quickly, I thought metal was the better way to go this time.

Still not sure about that OEM loading protector though. To me it looks really out of place and not particularly OEM-like.

The load protector folds away under the boot floor when not in use so I don't mind how it looks as u don't see it. I pull it out when I'm loading large objects or my dog is jumping in the boot.

As for the fading, time will tell. If it does I'll prob spray it gloss black to match the spoiler.

The load protector is good too as that large part of the bumper is prone to scratch [emoji106]
