Alloy Wheels

Featured Replies

Has anybody heard of allessio alloy wheels? they are built in italy and they are much cheaper than same size bbs or oz's? I'm looking for a set of good looking 17". I don't know what people think about cheaper alloys, is it worthwhile investing in bbs or oz's?. I'm not really after performance, just looks as my car is a diesel.

thanks

Never heared of them (but that's more an indication of my wheel manufacturer knowledge), but they do have some nice wheels listed. I quite liked the 'Tour'.

Hi,

Haven't heard of Allessio wheels myself but perhaps they haven't made it to UK!

I have Wolfrace Urban Racer on my TDi L&K which I personally like as my version has dull chrome finish like OEM L&K wheels - but wheel choice is a very personal issue. My 7x17" were approx

John,

Got the same wheels on my 4x4 & I also think they look good & as the standard 4x4 wheels are

Hi Stuart,

Interesting that you have the same wheels - I was orginally going for Audi RS4 replicas, but wasn't happy with the offset (ET30) that was offered and the Urban Racers were about

John,

The L&K centre caps are stickies as Wendy is getting hers changed under warranty, I will see if I can get one of the old ones & experiment with some glue on an old centre cap, I have had a couple of the Woolfrace ones replaced under warranty so I have something to experiment on

And I've got Toyos as well, Good arent they !!!!

Stuart

Mine are the Alessio F1

they are looking great. i particularly like five spoke design and multispoke like oz super leggeras. how did u find the allessio in terms of quality? and did you manage to change the centre inserts with skoda badges?

I'm a bit of a fan of the 5 spoke design too.

Mine came with VW insert caps (really nasty looking ones too!) - but all I had to was pop them out and get 4 new ones for about a fiver from my locl friendly dealer. - They fitted nice and look better than the VW ones.

problem remains if centre caps like yours will fit the alessio. i would not mind buying alessio, as long as i can change the centre caps.

I also like much more the 5 spoke design.

My Alessio's F1 are 16x7,5. Quality, well it's acceptable for what you pay, it's ok. Centre caps do change or you can put a self adhesive badger on them.

Hi GR_Octavia_ABT

You mention self adhesive Skoda badge for wheel centre caps - do you have a source for these??

Thanks,

John.

Sorry, no source.

I think that the company representing Alessio wheels in Greece gives them with the wheels.

What do you think about these beautiful Kosei RZ wheels?

they're nice (:... but i have to see what is available in malta

allesio have been around for a few years in the uk market, not massively sold but becoming a bigger brand year by year, many of the top brands are made in italy and some of the cheaper ones too, that doesnt mean that they are nasty in any way.

At the end of the day its a case of what tickles your fancy!!

Good luck with your choice and nice set of wheels always makes a car in my opinion!

with your centres, if you only require stickers then any good vinyl signwriting company wshould be able to knock some up for pennies and to the exact size you require!.........just a thought?

hello... in two weeks time, the dealer for mak, will have some mak r-action wheels that i can see and try on. i would really like to go for at least 17" but i'm really concerned about ride quality.

the standard tyre size for me was 195/65 R15. If i go to 225/45 R17 i would keep the exact rolling radius according to tirecalc. for 16" the closest i can get is 205/55 R16.

The question is, how badly will this effect ride quality?

edit: keeping in mind that road quality in malta is no good. quite bad actually :P
