Leon Cupra R for a VRS?

Featured Replies

Im thinking about it... do you think Id miss the power? (280bhp revo?)

out f interest why change??

for about

Which vRS? Fabia Or Octy?

Why???

Dazz

yeah would be interested to know what vRS u want :)

Based on the comment on missing the power it looks like the Fab vRS - and yeah I'd imagine you'd miss the power, or should I say, the rev range, as you're used to a petrol that can rev.

Definitely would try out the Octy vRS as well, they tune up really nicely and may be a better fit to what you are used to from an engine perspective :)

Thanks for the feedback...

Im after a diesel really.... so definately prefer the fabia.

(and the leon with more than 280 would just be silly!.. it spins the wheels crazy as it is).

Welcome to the Site :orb_wave:

If you want the Furby your driving style will change, getting used to the torque IS different to having the power. I take it you HAVE test driven the Furby ?

If not go and drive 1, you may find the style of driving doesnt suit you, or you may not like the car.

After driving it you can then decide if you want to mod the car to get the feel you have in your current one .

If you are definitely after a diesel, the PD130 engine is a good choice for sure, and it can be remapped pretty easily too :)

I've done nearly 19k now, and it's been great, one minor issue with a little blanking panel coming out, was fixed, and I've added a bunch of soundproofing + other stuff in my sig is now coming along too.

Not had a single problem caused by the car itself, minor issue with a service besides the cost, but excellent beyond that & definitely recommended.

Absolutely take it out for a test drive first though, you'll soon get a feeling for it and if nothing else, it's worth it just for the fun :D

Yeah, a friend of mine has one (with revo of course!). and I must say that I was pretty impressed... esp. for the money and mpg..

27mpg in the leon is ok, but 50+ sounds very very tempting...

So, if/when I can post on the for sale forums, do you think many people would be up for a swap/px?

Thanks for all the comments...

You never know - definitely worth a post there though

Yup. Exactly my reasons. The Leon is coming out of warranty and the furby just makes so much sense - in all respects...

Tell me though. Does it get any easier to annouce that you have a skoda? (apologies, but I suppose Im just a car snob and perhaps buying the furby will be my much needed rehab....)

I have a Skoda and Seat and it's the Seat name I'd rather not tell people about! The Skoda's are just much better quality IMO.

I hope the fuel consumption is as important to you as suggested otherwise I suspect you'll miss the LCR. At the moment I drive the Wife's PD130 Ibiza through the week and by the weekend I can't wait to get back in the Octavia. I'm not saying the PD130 is a bad car, I'm very impressed with it performance wise but for driver enjoyment I personnaly much prefer a petrol. I also doubt you'll see 50+mpg other than on the motorway. I find the Ibiza averages out in the mid 40's but this may drop to low 40's in the winter when the density of diesel changes due to the lower temps.

Oh........and welcome to the forum.

I drive a mixture of Harsh/relaxed in my Furby VRS. MPG around town 35-45mpg. A Roads 50-55 mpg and Motorway cruising sometimes gets around 60 Mpg. Makes a lot of sense to get one.
