1999 feicier gearbox drain plug

Hi guys I've owned my fleicier estate for the last 9 years trouble free until recently . so now need a little help .I need to drain the gearbox on its 1300 engine but just can't find the drain plug .has. anyone got a photo I've looked in the Haynes man but still can't find it .I would be very grate full for your help

It's on the passenger facing side of the gearbox, almost directly below the driveshaft, if I recall you need a 19mm spanner to undo it

I can see a hex bolt is that it . ? cant see a 19 mil Or is it only possible to see when the car is up on ramps

You might be able to see it without jacking the car up, it's almost at the lowest point on the gearbox differential casing, from memory I want to say 19mm spanner but it may well have been changed for a different drain plug at some point in the vehciles life.

Ah yes, I've just looked through some of my photos, it is in fact a hex bolt, you will need a large Allen key to undo it, can't remember what size it is off hand. It's directly in front of the triangular lower gearbox mounting bracket on the passenger side just below the passenger side driveshaft.
