At todays Rolling Road session at Regal Motorsport in Southampton, the beast worked its magic to attain over 351bhp on the rollers allowing me to scoop the Regal trophy for 'Highest Turbo Power'! To be complety honest i was hoping for slightly higher numbers but hey at the end of the day the car can rearrange your internal organs so i'm WELL happy!!

Mike at Impossible did a bit more work on the car on Friday - including fitting an ABD polished intake manifold - the first in the UK if memory serves... :D Also I had my map tweaked and leaned out a bit - the car is now reliable and outrageously fast (isn't it Gerry ;) )

Today was a brilliant day out - Regal Motorsport are getting into the VAG tuning quite seriously and hosted a great day. There were loads of familiar faces which it's always good to see and i even got to meet The Pigster! ;) We got an invite back whenever we want - and they suggested we make an evening of if it later in the year, bring a barbq (Bengie - where were you??) and use the rollers again FOC!

I learnt loads about how my car actually works and the limits which it is on (and crossed in some places!) and had some suggestions on how to improve it. It makes such a change to have a tuner like this - they are professional and are not trying to force their warez on you like some do. Today was all free to us - they didn't have to do it but their attitude was just so great - very refreshing!! I for one will be making a call to them next week for some more advice on a few things for the beasty including gearboxes and diffs!

Yep agree with all that ...top day and people ...thanks to all involved

well done mate, sounds quite a car. brilliant power. and as u said, regardless of actual figures your happy with how it performs and drives, brilliant i can see why u are delighted

woke up and didn't feel like it, sounds like i missed a good one. went to MK to see The Man

What torgue did The Beast get Dave?

Dave (Ferarri chaser), your car is MENTAL.

Felt a bit guilty for the Seat crew as it was their day and you got the most powerful car. What a shame ;)

It really was a top day. Regal really are really good hosts, and seem to be taking VAG seriously. Can't wait to see the results of the G8 software when developped for the PD engine.

Most cars seemed on the mark for power, with most people reasonably happy with figures. However, they might not have the jist of running diesels, with my std Fabia getting 160.6bhp and 268lfbt. Steve emerged "who did your remap". Er, nobody! They ran it again later in the day to verify and got 159.6 and 269. Ah well.

Torque was an OK 325lbft :)

Yeah that Ferarri 328 GTS made a fantastic roar and the bloke that drove it was really amicable as well. I had a sit in it and it does feel like a proper Ferarri should

I'm gutted I missed this.

Sounds like you all had a good day out and well done Dave

Regal cut their teeth with some of Luton's finest where they gained an excellent reputation but I think they have probably realised it's a dead end market.

So are we looking at a Brisky sponsored visit soon then??

Stu,

Already in the pipeline, keep a look out. These guys are defo worth a visit.

Long live the BEAST

Dave,

Many a true word said in jest, it is mental, but what a car, just trying to rearrange certain parts of my anatomy follwing the "G" force.

Terrific day, hosted by people who know about VAG tuning, especially the Greek chap (Sorry, did not get his name), nothing was too much trouble for him and you could ask anything, and he always gave a straight answer. As stated in another thread, I think he has forgotten more about tuning VAG cars than we will ever know.

One question:- Where was the burger van????????????

PS:- Just put me down for next one and PM the date.

And what was the unmodified pikey mobile putting out, though no need to ask, I guess it must have been somewhere around 180bhp??

Was down to be there but lack of spark plugs put pay to that.

What sort of power were the Seats coming up with?

Lee
