It is the same thing as the module. As I said previously it could be faulty but they are generally hardy things.

Well I reckon the old one will struggle to connect to an iPhone and so although there may still be a wiring issue you probably need to change it anyway. At least you can then rule out module issues.

Saw one on eBay the other day for 70quid. That's pretty good. Just type the part number into the search. Try it with and without spaces in batches of three characters and filter Europe wide as there are bargains to be had.
