Variable servicing display confusion

Featured Replies

Got a 15-month old 63 plate 1.2tsi Roomie which has done 6900 miles. Bought the car new and the dealer said it had variable servicing which means it can do 2 years or 20k miles whichever comes sooner.

Curiously I wanted to know when servicing was due so I pressed the button to cycle through the clock resetting to other figures which I cannot fathom out. The first display showed a figure of 6400 miles with a further press of the button showing 18500 miles - that was Saturday.

Pressing the button today the figures changed to 6300 miles on the first display but with 18800 miles on the second display.

Does anyone now what these figures mean and how many miles to the next service? The oil level has not dropped on the dipstick but has a slight change of colour to a richer brown.

Regards

Ed

I was doing the same a few days back. I might be wrong but think one of the numbers is driving hours till the service and the other miles, but didn't dwell enough on it to figure out properly.

Edit: Made a post in the wrong place
