Hi all. Hoping you can help with this one..!

 

Looking at the Skoda Ireland website there is an option for 'PDE' with no information other than a picture of the button used with the KESSY system. The funny thing is that the KESSY system is also available as an option with no photo at all! The PDE is €400+ while the KESSY is €700+ on an Elegance and I'm just wondering what they are.

 

Also; given that the 150BHP CR has torsion beam rear suspension I'm wondering can the alignment be adjusted on these wheels or does it have the same curse that befell the B5.5 Passat in that you can't adjust the tracking/alignment whatsoever and if you hit a pothole you're done for.

 

..Oh..and having read through a load of threads here I'm still not sure. Can an SD card function with apple music on it? If so; does it still display album covers and singer details like an iPod would?

 

Shame they put the Mitsumi/AUX on the dash. Would have preferred to hide the iPod away like in the MkII..so if I can use an SD card it'll be great..!

SD card/ Apple. I open CD on iTunes, highlight those tracks, copy, then paste into a new folder in my music section on the computer. Since the last stupid iTunes update I have to add the artwork manually when I first highlight the tracks in order to get them to display on Bolero. I also keep an SD card copy folder on pc so if SD card fails, all is not lost

My interpretation is that the cheaper option is just KESSY, and the more expensive has KESSY and an alarm.

(Not a 100% sure, though. Elegance comes with KESSY already so I only added the alarm option.)

SD card / Apple - I had to convert files i had burnt in iTunes to be MP3 format, then save to the SD card and albums play fine now. If I had art work it shows as well.

Apple lossless (.alac) doesn't work sadly. Also, if you've ripped a cd with iTunes, or purchased tracks from iTunes store, I believe album art is not embedded in the music file. ITunes stores all the album art in a folder on your computer and idevices. Easy enough to fix and embed, either with a purpose built tagging software, or in iTunes itself (although that's fairly labour intensive, OK for a few albums).
