New engines/facelift

Skoda UK appear to have dropped the Camelot alloys and replaced them with the Savio on the SE Sport. Ray wheels an £800(!) option.

Come on SUK that's not fair copying me  :D

  • With the frequency with which the specifications on modern cars are amended/updated and options are added and removed, this comment could apply at any time... they're no different to things like mobil

  • Here's something that was in front of my eyes but I hadn't noticed: The seat frame trim has been added to the production since 26/1/2015. (Unluckily my car left the production line on 22/1/2015 ) So

  • If the facelift has the heated windscreen, Xenon Lights and is more closely matched with modern electronics (i.e one touch up down windows) then I'm looking at my next car

It looks like Skoda actually changed the Camelot wheel and a couple slipped through before SUK dropped them: http://d3bjscact0svdn.cloudfront.net/ndstock/images/stock/4bd9db936de873f953dbdafc3acbb7da1760ca30/604980421_HY15ZWC_6.jpg?resize=335x219&bestfit=true&ttl=14400

Personally I prefer the old Camelots.

Edit: Actually these look like the 16in 'Rock' wheels. Looks like they fitted them by accident!

Not really that bothered about a facelift as mine looks ok and I bought mine a year old for less than £9500 (it's a 1.2 elegance 105) it's cheap, practical and economical. Ok it doesn't have the finish of its Audi/VW counterpart but it Has a large boot and is what my family needed :)

As far as I can tell from ETKA:

The frame (and everything else regarding the seat) remained the same as before, when the trim was introduced back in January.

For the height adjusted seat there is only one frame version. For the non-adjusted one, there are two versions, pre and post March 2013. I suspect that the trim fits both, but I cannot be sure.

Long story short, if you have a seat that can be adjusted for height you can do the retrofit, use part numbers 5JA881317A, 5JA881318A, 5JA881559A, 5JA881560A, 4x(N90737107, N90703802, N0385012). If you have the non-adjusted variant chances are that you can still do it, especially if your car was made after 3/2013, and use part numbers 5JA881317, 5JA881318, 5JA881559A, 5JA881560A, 4x(N90737107, N90703802, N0385012).

Total cost in Germany, including VAT: about 65 Euro.

EDIT: Found more people that have done it. See this Czech forum: http://forum.skodahome.cz/topic/130417-sedačky-zakrytí-kolejnic-sedáku/page-3#entry2035008

I went to order (here in belhium) the peaces, but they couldn t find the ref. Only when they put a 989 behind 5JA881317A and 5JA881318A.

So I orderd 5JA881317A989 and 5JA881318A989.

Can someone confirm that this is correct?

Yes this is correct, 989 is the colour code. I did not mention it before as there is no other colour available yet other than black (989).

Never bought a Toledo in the end. The price hike with the EU6/trim changes was just too much. Went from a £12k car to a £18k car very quickly. It was the low price that drew me to the Toledo in the first place so this killed it for me.

I ended up going for a new Yeti instead. Had it a month now and very happy!

Firstly, can you share the link to the seat covers please?

Second, how easy was it to fit the plastic valances to the front seats (that really needs to be my next mod).

Cheers

Chris
