I own a 2008 Octavia II TDi Laurin & Klement. It was my company car from new and I purchased it when it at the end of the lease.  It has done only 75,000Km and has been to date a fantastic car both to drive and reliability. 

 

I am and always have been interested in auto engineering, and to that extent, I would tackle just about any task if I am so minded, though as I grow older, I am less enthusiastic to tackle jobs such as cam belt/clutch changes and the like.

 

My interest in joining this forum is to extend my knowledge relating to the Octavia electrical/electronic system.  The reason simply being that the Columbus Navigations system was stolen a week before Christmas 2014, and while that will be replaced by the insurance company, I have become interested in improving security to avoid future theft – and maybe I will know something that will help someone out.
