God knows. Look at the card on the flap and see if there is a fuse in a slot which shouldn't have one. Failing that you need to start rooting around in the dash.

It's highly unlikely the parrot has it's own fuse in either fusebox. They are almost always fitted using a SOT cable that plugs into the back of the headunit. These means that the parrot can disconnect the speakers from the headunit to play audio and reconnect them when it's finished.

You need to find the unit to figure out how it has been wired in.

To do this, I would look under the top dash box or behind the stereo. Both are very simple to get at and are very likely to give you an answer.

Just realised by looking at the pic above that some fuses in the fuse box do not correspond to the fuses in the diagram in the manual/card and some fuses are missing.

Can someone advise what are these 2 fuses are circled in red as they don't exist in the manual/card:

Who knows, unless you want to start tracing wires.

Just confused as I cant find no reference of these fuses in the manual. Just like to have an Idea on what fuses usually goes in those 2 slots according to Skoda or is it a x-file unknown?

Which 2 slots? You posted a picture of the whole fusebox.

These 2 fuses with the red arrows pointing to them:

I think they might just be spares. Pull them out and see if there are any electrical connections

Those positions are just for holding spare fuses.

Ok understood, I thought they were actual electrical sockets cause they feel like sockets.

I have a Parrot fitted to my Octavia, it is wired into the back of the radio headunit, it isn't fused via the cars main fuse panel.

You will need to remove the radio to deactivate or remove the Parrot.

Mine once also stayed illuminated after I'd locked the car. I noticed it one night when I looked out of the house window. I took it back to the place that fitted it and they said the Parrot had got itself confused somehow. They performed a 'reset' on it and all has been well ever since. Srry but I don't know what they did to reset it other than they disconnected it from the power supply. They had to remove the radio to do it.

Ok is it there pics/vids on how to remove the radio for a newbie like me?

There is a video on youtube here:

And a rough picture guide here: http://www.fitaudio.com/?View=entry&EntryID=172

Depending on your headunit you may not have covers over the screws. All pretty simple, just take your time as the antenna connectors and quadlock can be tricky.

Update:

I haven't removed the radio yet to sort out the parrot as I notice my car still starts in the morning after being parked up overnight. So shall I assume the parrot device is not a battery hungry device cause my car still starts.

Can someone confirm whether the small fuses type used in the driver side are Micro2 fuse or Mini fuse?

I did replace the number plate bulbs today. Everything is working fine with the new led bulbs however i notice the 2 screws that secures the bulb holder are short and when i screw them back on they screw at a angle which is awkward and the screws dont tighten that makes it less secure and feel like the bulb holder will drop out while driving.

Anyone can please advise on my situation. What length/thickness should the screws be?

Anyone can help?

The screws are torx headed, and no longer than about 4mm. Make sure you have not screwed them in at an angle, or the self tapped hole will have been extended. It's not uncommon also for the screw holes to have rust around them, which will further expand them. Only option is to use slightly bigger screws and do not overtighten them.

4mm, no wonder it feels loose less secure. Looks like I gotta use bigger screws. Bigger screws in length or width? Why would Skoda commit a design flaw with 4mm screws?

I'm not screwing them at a angle, strangely it seems the screw holes themselves are at a angle.

Please advise.

It's not a design flaw if you've been ham-fisted & screwed them in on an angle.

Is there a picture or something that shows how the connections should be like so I can rule out whether its a design flaw or a exclusive strange problem with my car?
