vRS S2000 - investment?

Featured Replies

I've only just read about the S2000 and from what I understand its 1/20 produced for the UK

Am I right in thinking they are just a stickered up green vRS?

Do they hold any additional desirability over the standard vRS?

Just a bra with stickers, will not hold any serious extra money to worry about, won't be like the mk1 SE

Some have had the stickers removed by dealers and I think most are high spec mine has climate, parking sensors, cruise control, heated seats electric windows rear etc but no other differences than green/ white

Mine had all stickers removed apart from the front valance. It is very high spec (sat nav, climate, cruise, heated seats but no rear electric windows or sunglasses holder! ) but not all are. Yes, the S2000 was supposed to be a limited edition but in its original stickered up livery it was a bit Marmite so not sure it would have wide appeal, unlike the Mk1 vRS SE.

the fact most were debadged/ de-liveried is the key. Rarity.

If it helps, The MkI Octavia vRS WRC came only in white IIRC with the WRC livery/ stickers/ graphics (call em what you like) To have these produced now costs in excess of 1K (source, a MkI Octy vRS WRC owner)

Thanks for the replies and thoughts chaps

you have a vRS estate estate Wakey ;) less than 700 in the UK, EVER! its rarer than the mark I SE ;)

That's the rally car, the road going S2000 was a vRS in a very loud suit.

ahh i get you , shouldn't really be called an s2000 if its just a 1.4 tsi with some stickers on! i was just saying because i heard from RRG skoda that a skoda garage was auctioning off a s2000 "must be the actual rally car" because it was selling at over 30 thousand pounds

Nope, not an investment unless you wish to store it for 75 years :)

Probably longer than that...... till a time when fossil fuel cars were but a mere memory!

Have any Skoda's ever been an investment???

I suppose the ones from the fifties have some appeal to the classic car lovers, however wrong that might read ;)
