Some pics from Kodak DX 6490

Featured Replies

I recenlty purchased this camera (my first digital) for going on honeymoon in Sri Lanka at the end of August.

I have since been practising by taking photos of anything and everything.

We went to a wedding about a week and a half ago, and i decided to try out the camera in various different modes.

Some of the photos are up loaded on the following link.

They have not been touched by software packages yet.

Please tell me what you think.

p.s. they look much better full size.

A friend had the same phone.

I say had as the zoom failed on it twice and he ended up changing it for one of the Cannon models.

You can get dodgy ones from any make though.

Nice pics though

From a behind the counter man! I think the camera is brilliant.

I've sold lots of these and two of my colleagues have also purchased. You have to be unlucky to have any problems, I've not come across a faulty one.

Quality is superb and excellent features. I show people a nice 10x8 and they're stunned that it's from a 4mp Kodak. We process and print, including digital and the 6490 produces prints to match many higher end cameras.

Think you've done a great job with the photos and like them as they are.

Keep shooting!

I like the table / bride card shot :D

The couple recently got back from their honeymoon and apparently i was the only person to take photos of the flowers' date=' tables beforehand with the place names and the CAKE!!!

Even their photographer missed it, so they were eternally grateful.

Wouldn't have taken any of these only i got married 6 weeks before them, and i was copying what our photographer was doing at our own wedding much to my new wifes embarrasment. :D

P.s. here is a picture of their cake:

I have a 6490 (18 months now) and have been very satisfied with it. The only niggle I have is that it doesn't like flash very much, all pictures come out muddy - but could be operator error :D

ps If I can work it out I will send a few images

Your photos look very arty - great, especially the shadowy ones.

What a good idea for wedding cake! Nice change from the usual.
