Been to look at Roomsters today and well impressed with the one we drove, the 1.6 diesel.

Question is we can buy either a second hand 1.6 diesel, the one we looked at was an 11 plate with 43k. We went around the corner from the used dealer and found a Skoda dealer. We can have a new 1.2tsi for £9995 which is more than we were hoping to spend. However when you take into consideration prices of used this price is quite attractive. The new one wont need an mot and repairs will be covered by mot for the most part. Obviously the petrol doesn't do as much mpg and tax is slightly more too but lower insurance group and petrol doesn't cost as much. I probably drive around 15k a year at the moment.

What's everyone's ideas on both engines and running costs and reliability.
