Exhaust Back Box Silencer Replacement

Featured Replies

Has anyone replaced the exhaust silencer (ie the last section of the system) yet?  I am having problems getting a quote from any of the main fitters, or an online price.  Haven't tried Skoda yet though.  It's a Fabia 2 hatch 105ps 2011 reg.

Any advice welcome.

Are you wanting it to be louder or to have a tailpipe?

If the first,I thought removing the centre silencer was quite adequate and if it is the latter I would suggest maybe a proper OEM part, like it was supposed to be fitted.

Rather than go to a dedicated fitter, get the parts yourself and save money. Nearly all motor factors have an account with marathon whom supply the brand euroflow which can be had for much cheapness and I know for a fact they list the backbox for this model. Then simply get a local garage to fit it, most will have experience with fitting exhausts and will only be an hours labour, if that.

Ive had mine done altough mine is a 1.6tdi :)b94d2ba7922e06654b3e36b0bda7d6ed.jpg

What exhaust did you fit and where did you get it

Custom job. Stainless rear section was 120 including triming the bumper to suit

Thanks my rear box is starting to rust on my 2011 Tdi and can't find anything I like
