hi looking to buy a Octavia 1.2 or 1.4 se in the new future have heard good things about the dsg gearbox have seen videos of how it works but cant find out if the Octavia has the flappy paddles behind the steering wheel to change up and down manually if they do and you are in manual mode and coming to a stop but forget to change down with the paddles would the engine cut out like in a car with manual  gearbox and clutch ? many thanks for the replys

Flapping paddles are optional on the Octy 3. The engine automatically changes down for you and won't stall. Go and take one for a drive you can switch to manual mode by pushing the gear lever to the left in D and push forward and backwards to go up and down the gears.
