LED driving lights

Featured Replies

On a video, Ive seen the driving lights on the MKlll animated i.e. moving/flashing from one end to the other.

How does this work? or doesn't it :/

Thanks

Please delete this thread before I start getting ideas of changing them to red, and calling my car KITT. :)

LED s run on "Duty Cycle" i.e they go on and off rapidly. It is very hard to see with a human eye. Brightness of LED s can be increased / decreased by varying the cycle. Camera shutter speed is not always in sync with LED cycle. That is what make LED s flicker on some videos.

Same here, the flashing is a trick of the camera. If you look at videos of some Audis they are the same, almost like the DRL lights are faulty. In reality they have been shot poorly with the wrong shutter speed (guess cheap camera).
