sound proofing

Featured Replies

I read somewhere in this forum about sound proofing the back of the citigo, I thought this would be OTT!!?? But having test drove one yesterday it did sound like there was a window open in the back (it was a three door so couldn't be lol) I'm guessing it's road noise. Is there a guide on how to make this less noticeable or will I just get used to it in time? I did have a search but couldn't find anything.

I was going to add mud flaps but I think these will look rubbish on a Monte?

Cheers

Mike

I'm never a fan of mud flaps .

You do get used to the noise or in my case I turn the radio up :D

I think with rear arch liners and a bit of sound proofing in the boot area the car would be a bit quieter.

Agree wheel arch liners will cut down quite a bit of noise. The parts alone are about £75

Ah ok, was hoping not to have to do any mods lol. I didn't get a chance to try out the stereo on the showroom mote, are they any good? Do they offer much bass?

The stereo is decent, imo. Enough bass without being over the top.

The stereo is great I think. 100% better than my Rapid was.

It has good bass without distortion. All the speakers used to rattle in the Rapid.

I've got used to it now and think it looks OK.

They're quite tiny on the car which is better [emoji106]

thanks, not sure on them TBH, will see how much mud gets flung up the side before committing

TBH the back doesn't really get to dirty. No more than any other car like it.

Are you kidding lol ??

Nope not kidding. Mine doesn't get that bad but I do wash it regularly [emoji16]

Spaceback I drove was terrible for attracting muck on the back.

That's cause you only drive it at night, so can't see the layer of muck :D

+1

And the mudflaps to me add to the car's pizazz (or in simpler terms, a better booty) I think it looks great on a red and black themed car (such as the monte.... or mine)

Hmm maybe [emoji6]

And the back window is Black so it all looks the same [emoji16]
