Ill probably top that with Wheel Whores Wheel Wax...A really good wax for wheels

Nice and shiny Chris!  B)

What winter rubber have you gone for?

They are Jinyu YW51 Winter Tyres 205/55/16

I did affair amount of research and didn't want to pay silly money for any as the car wont get used as much in the Winter..I had pretty much decided on Nokian..but they were more spondulicks

My local Tyre Garage highly recommended the Jinyu's and further research seems to match their enthusiasm and confidence in their ability as a Winter option. So I had them supply and fit for £70 each

All I need now is lower temperatures to put them on the car

Could be mid to late November the way the weather patterns are going, with seriously low temperatures and snowy weather forecast for January and February...We shall see.

They said this last year!!

I wouldn't bother with winter tyres - waste of time :notme:

Sounds good Chris. Be interesting to see how you get on with them

Oh to be retired...

Thought you were Simbo

Is that it I cycle that

  • Author

Yes......There were a few cyclists blocking the route.

Good blast of the horn and an occasional swerve in their direction...They soon get out of the way!! :D  ;)

Some swearing by the mechanic and they work brilliantly

Very bright in daylight and dim when the side lights or headlights are turned on

The fitter also fitted me a H7 HID kit while the wheel arch liners were off...They look fantastic and Factory fit above the DRL's

I'll take some pictures tomorrow when I've washed it and its light

They look great but hugely expensive, now you need a long pole with a red triangle flag  like a recumbent bicycle has so lorries can see you at the side !  :notme:

  • Author

They were not cheap Alan, as you say

But having saved up, I believe worth every penny..Its transformed the front of the car

lol.gif

You don't like sitting so low do you?

That's what Sports Car driving is all about

"They look like pretty eyelashes" is what my grand daughter said, haha

So the MOT tester knows they are illegal, but yet he fitted them? Seems on odd thing for him to say & do, hope it does not come back & bite him on his ass.

  • Author

Yes

Oh can we please not start the HID debate in yet another thread!

Look good Chris - glad you're pleased

Thanks

Ive edited it Steve :dull:
