Perfect weather...To Skipton, Kettlewell, Buckden, Upper Wharfedale/Langstrothdale (Pictures), Hawes for a mooch around....

....back to Buckden for a pub lunch, then to Skipton for some more mooching

Just bought a set of 4 OEM 17" alloys and nearly new tyres

One of the alloys will need some touching up, but after a good clean up, all four should look good

Nexen tyres are better than I expected (Have them on the Citroen) so not an issue

The guy agreed a price over the phone with me

Suggested, when I asked to pay a deposit, that we should wait until I get back from holiday on the 7th July

I get a text today saying that because I hadnt sent him any money via Paypal, he had sold them elsewhere!!

 

Nothing is unbelievable to me these days..there are proper prats around

I don't know if this applies to later models, but I know any wheels larger than 15" on the mk1 actually made handling / ride worse.  Maybe all these fall-throughs of 17" wheels are a blessing in disguise?

Camskill have some F1's at £85 each delivered then £40 to fit....Then theres Rainsport 3's at £63 each

I have an MY16 Octavia VRS being built this week in candy white. I originally purchased an MY15 in the metallic white but the dealer it was at wouldn't release it so my dealers offered to build me a new one for the same price. no brainer really just that it was candy white instead I quite like candy white having seen it in the flesh.

 

I just got some Liquid Elements sealers / hybrids to try and probably use sonax BSD as a quick boost inbetween. Still have trusty Collinite 845 that you recommended me years ago which still takes some beating on wheels.
