Columbus MIB Reception Issues

Featured Replies

Hello All

What are peoples experiences like with the ne Columbus MIB in the Octavia? I have just changed car. My old car had the earlier Columbus DAB fitted. The reception with the old unit was faultless. I am getting signal drop out with the new unit in poor reception areas. Rather than play a week signal it just drops out completely.

Has anyone else had problems?

Thanks

Anyone know how I delete the duplicate posts? Cant find anything under edit!

I live on the south coast and find mine drops out frequently, I just put it down to poor coverage but it is annoying.

I had DAB in my Mk2 Blackline too which wasnt any better IMHO....in fact every now and again it would lose DAB reception completely and wouldnt come back until the ignition had been off for a while and the electronics had reset themselves. At least this one doesnt exhibit that problem....I have had it once that the infotainment display didnt light up though but still bleeped/functioned when touched. But its only happened once.
