Which spoiler?

Featured Replies

I quite like the look of the small spoilers added to a few of the Yeti projects on here.

Quite fancy the split design version from Super Skoda.

There's the non TUV at 80EUR

And the TUV at 100EUR

Has anyone ordered either of these from Superskoda? Which one should I go for?

This was stated in 2011 however I can't find a painted product anywhere...

"comes UNPAINTED of course...

anyway we will release silver metallic finish soon..

This is the cheaper one from super Skoda ,very flimsy until attached, also nearly same price again for spraying, hope this helps.

Nice additional angle to view it from. I was talking to DarrellGB about having the roof wrapped with the spoiler...

I've also been looking at the angry yeti decals on eBay :D

If it's not too difficult to wrap a spoiler ,it may be a lot cheaper,Bt as I said until they are fixed they are VERY flimsy

From what I can tell, both the TUV and non-TUV spoiler are the same unit - you're just paying a license for a certificate to show it's TUV certified which is only really a necessity if you live in certain continental European countries.

Interestingly (as you'll see if you click through to the project build thread linked in my signature and go to post #18) mine actually came supplied in metallic silver. I chose to have it repainted black. It now seems they come supplied in black.

Here's photo's of mine (ordered from superskoda):

^ Good man! Thank you.  I guess I can always ask what they'll be supplied in.  If it came in black I'd just pay for the roof wrap in the same gloss as the spoiler if that was the case...

Does it make any difference to amount of crud that's sucked onto the back of the car when driving on wet roads?

How is it fixed - is it just stuck on or .....?

John,

I'm sure someone has reported in the past that it didn't seem to make much difference to the amount of dirt on the back.

And it's stuck on.

Yes stuck on - you can use double-sided trim tape, or (as I did) take no chances and use an adhesive such as sikaflex or tigerseal.

And no, it doesn't make any difference to crud or spray on the back window.
