 £18 for a scratch n shine? 😧
Might take you longer now, but at least you're no longer getting grit filled cloths and cheap sh!t chemicals thrown all over your car giving - or it sounds like enhancing - those lovely swirly patterns.
And enjoy the fact it's 4 hours where you're not being dragged round shops or garden centres 😁

I don't mind the garden centres but I draw the line at clothes shops.

The problem now is that there is a water shortage in our area so washing the car on your drive is frowned upon - even if you're paying through the nose for the water you use.

Our cars are very dusty again but I'm holding off washing them until it rains & fills up my rain butts which I can then use for washing the cars - you get less spotting with rain water as well.

Try Glypton leather cleaner / care products. Work as well as any other but give the smell of real leather like no other.

I find car cleaning quite therapeutic, my Octavia hasn’t been washed for quite a while now but going to give it a good session tomorrow.

Reviving an old but interesting thread!!

I bought this little Huyndai Amica in Sept last year and haven't washed it since. But since getting the new Octy last week I though I'd get into a routine of giving the cars a good wash and polish. This is how the guinea pig turned out, now on to the Octy.!

@GizmoThor8303A shame it has a ding on the door, but you did polish it up nicely for a run about car.

I was gutted to find that, which was no fault of my own. But it doesn't really justify spending on getting it sorted. Car travels about 4 miles a day when it's not great running weather so really is a runabout car. I love it though! Wouldn't mind changing it to a citigo when funds become available so I have a full Skoda fleet again.

Just finished and it starts raining...

Shock.

Cleaned inside and out.

Rinse, snow foam, rinse, two bucket wash, ceramic waxed.

Inside got upholstery cleaned, vacuumed, and a damned good clean.

It looks a little cleaner now I’ve removed half of the Yorkshire Dales from the arches & sills.

Purchased this stunning Superb 1.6TDI on March 30 so it was treated to a decent valet today by a local company and topped off with a coat of Fusso Wax and she's looking amazing again

She's wearing the years very well. I had a 2010 Superb 2.0TDi Estate for around 6 years & did over 140k in her. Never missed a beat.

Looks the business. Cars do last well these days if they are regularly maintained and cleaned.
