Fault No. 1:

16497/P0113/000275 - Intake Air Temp. Sensor (G42): Signal too High Possible Symptoms
  • Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON
Possible Causes
  • Fuse(s) faulty
  • Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Intake Air Temp. Sensor (G42) faulty
  • Intake Air Temp. Sensor (G42) faulty
Possible Solutions
  • Check Fuse(s)
  • Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Intake Air Temp. Sensor (G42)
  • Check/Replace Intake Air Temp. Sensor (G42)

Fault No. 2:

16622/P0238/000568 - Manifold Pressure/Boost Sensor (G31): Signal too High Possible Symptoms
  • Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) active
Possible Causes
  • Wiring/Connector(s) from/to Manifold Pressure/Boost Sensor (G31) faulty
  • Manifold Pressure/Boost Sensor (G31) faulty
Possible Solutions
  • Check Wiring/Connector(s) from/to Manifold Pressure/Boost Sensor (G31)
  • Check Manifold Pressure/Boost Sensor (G31)

I believe the G31 and G42 sensors are the same thing, the T-MAP sensor, so start looking there and at the wiring to it

I had the G31 code on mine which is exactly the same model as yours also had the same lights on. It turned out to be the actuator on the turbo that was the culprit. Bought one from skoda which cost around £110 for the kit. Replaced and has been fine ever since.

Hi, i changed the air flow meter but the light comes back on. What should i do?

And where do i find the t-map sensor?

I've had the ' Manifold Pressure / Boost Sensor (G31)' fault code before too, and like Rajakay it was the turbo actuator that needed replacing, at a cost of £118, plus labour.

The seal inside the turbo actuator has a habit of perishing and won't maintain a given position. My car is a 2009 2.0 TDI170CR.

ive changed the turbo actuator, map sensor and air flow meter and the problem is still there and i have cleaned the egr. what should i do?

Did you read my link? Apparently there's a sensor by the IC?

Double post.

Yes - I had exactly the same issue/fix but was covered under warranty
