because the rides hard due to the really low profile tyres you need and they look ****.

absolutely do not do 18's, mine has 18x8 35 offset, with 225/40/18 tires and it rubs quite a bit, and my VRS is not even lowered (I don't think anyway)

You have the wrong size tyres. Should be 215 max and 35 profile

Cheers for that, I just swapped the wheels over from the A3 I had, I'm going to look into swapping my 18's for some 17's so its correct.
