Try them :D Skoda Ireland gave that Octy away in a competition online or is in the process of. Being an SDi though, you should hit 1 million miles before trying them, as it's hardly run in!

I remember seeing that story up on Skoda Ireland s website at the time. Made me happy to have bought a mk1 90 brake tdi :)

I love the interior shots of the car too....

Boot trim just in the boot, half the dashboard lit up constantly, temp gauge stuck at 60.... brilliant!

The mk1 octy was the best for the job, just wish they redesigned it rather than make the rapid/toledo.

A quick interior revamp, cup holders, cubby holes and better built seats, they Woulda flew out the doors!

Highest ive seen & driven was a 07 1.9PD with 360k on the clock, still ran perfectly.

ye i think il drop them a line , mine is in better condition than that one and everything works as it should , still got original parts exhaust, engine, starter, interior, one shockie osf, and all power steering , fuel system all original , skodas are built to last :-) love them .

Reference that video to Skoda UK if you contact them asking if they would be interested in doing a life time piece on it. Should be fit to get something out of them for it.

Loved watching that ..... Good old mk1 octy still going strong,

Not too sure on the colour mind, but they that's just me ...

Great video.

Good video. Made me miss my old 90 tdi. Would gladly buy another. My only regret was not running it on veggie oil.

I worked for a skoda main agent between 2000 and 2004 and remember the three year unlimited mileage warranty on the cars. I took in part exchange a 51 plate Octavia Ambiente 90bhp manual estate with 420k on it, It still had a month left on the warranty so we shoved it through the workshop and skoda paid for a new starter motor (wouldn't disengage properly) and a faulty air con compressor!

I bought it off the garage and my sister ran it for another three years and that was near 500k when it got sold again. All I did was replace the gear lever gaitor and knob and three pedal rubbers. It would have passed for 100k easy. Drove beautiful, was quiet and still did 55mpg.

It was apparently used 24/7 as an airport transfer taxi, so would've sat at 70 mph all day every day!
