My car is delivered this week. Do they have latest software when delivered?

I asked my dealer about that. Of course he said. Well, we'll se about that later this week.

Whats the easiest way to Check firmware version?

They will have the firmware and maps from when the unit was built, not the car.

Having had the upgrade got a few days now, I've had to turn the sub and bass down a bit and from dab and Bluetooth it does seem pretty responsive. I'm not sure if this makes sense but it's almost like some digital crossover has been changed.

The 'improvement' above may just be me subjectively, but I do have problem now that the nsf mid speaker or grille is now rattling from mid volume so think it's definitely do e something but now have another issue arrragghh

Any ideas for how long software 0390 has been available?

Are there any patchnotes available?

Whats the difference between versions?

I had exactly the same issue. It turned out to be a spare screw left in the door pocket. You really can't put anything in them if you want good sound.

Another update that I noticed was the display when using digital radio via Tunein on my iPhone. It now displays the station logo and show information on the Columbus which is a huge improvement. not sure if this is down to 0390 or a tune in update. It does deal with the dab signal holes and the quality is very good but 40 seconds behind real life!

Had a look for anything in pocket and there's nothing there but it does sound like rattle of something loose rather than maybe blown speaker - probably need to take door card or speaker grille off to find out (not sure if this is easy though)

I think the logos etc maybe better with 0390 as I could swear the album pictures didn't come up via Bluetooth playing previously but do now - I think these maybe the ones in the grace note system rather than the iPhone though

First unit I saw with it on left the factory about 2 months ago, but it is a bit pot luck as they don't always update the firmware on the way out of the door......

I have seen release notes for 1 version, but it was an 'internal' document :)

Mine is booked in for 11th May for the upgrade :)

Just checked. Mine's on 0370. Picked it up 2nd March. Defo gonna ask fir a firmware upgrade when it goes in for a service. Just wish that wasn't next year!

Do you have to wait until service for warranty upgrade - I told them my Columbus and DAB was cutting out occassionally - not a lie the Columbus had a funny 20 mins one time and reception does/did cut out occassionally, anyway they seem to accept it as a valid reason to upgrade the software - didn't say 'I want more bass!'

I got my car today, how do I Check the firmware version(Columbus)?

Without going and looking in the car, I think it's on the menu button, scroll icons round to setup, then scroll down to system information
