Clunk coming from 2012 Octavia DSG when lifting off the accelorator

Featured Replies

Hi all.

New to the forum after recently buying a Skoda Octavia VRS DSG with 41,000 miles registered Dec '12.

I have noticed a clunk coming from the underneath of the car when I lift off the accelerator at low speeds in low gears (predominantly 2nd).

It is quite noticeable and happens around a half second after a take my foot off the accelerator.

I have it booked into Skoda for 10 days time (earliest they could do) but I like to do my research on this kind of thing. Has anyone experienced or heard of anything like this and/or could offer any advice?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated :)

Best Regards

Upon driving it again it is more of a short rattle, only in 2nd and third gears when abruptly coming off the accelerator.

Seems to come from below the gearbox

Sounds like the DMF might be on its way out.
