Touch screen foibles ?

Featured Replies

I just wondered if anyone else has experienced the "ghost in the machine" ?

Mine has on a few occasions acted like someone has been running fingers over it when no-one is, and changing radio station as well as deleting logos.

Its a known issue, tends to happen in cold conditions.

Remedy is a replacement screen under warranty.

Yep mine will just changes from playing SD to radio or from driving data to car info.

Ask your dealer for an exorcism under warranty.

Although you'll lose the ability to change radio stations via ouija board.

Mine had a small wobble once, not had it since I had these though...

Think it must reduce sensitivity a little, but I got them for the protection

Thanks fella's.

@JoeFifty Not sure if those would help mine, but at that price its worth a try :)

Make sure your screen is spotlessly clean - use glass cleaner and a microfibre cloth to clean it.

I find that if it is covered in greasy finger marks it behaves oddly in cold conditions - and that has been on 2 different cars with Columbus with 18 months difference in production dates.

Screen spotlessly clean and screen protector applied ..... I will see what happens !

Must say the very slight darkening the protector gives is nice :)
