Mk3 Octavia VRS Rear View Mirror detached

Featured Replies

Hi All,

New to the forum. Recently bought a Mk3 VRS. Whilst driving along the rear view mirror has come detached. The ball socket that connects it to the window is still held within the casing so it hasn't completely dropped off. I imagine there's also a wire holding it in place due to the auto-dimming.

Still in warranty so trying to get Skoda to fix but in case its something simple i thought I'd ask on here (nearest Skoda is a fair way from me).

Is it possible to open the casing where the mirror is held? If i push it back into place, it holds but comes detached if I hit a bump. As far as I can see, nothing has broken, it just seem to have come detached. Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in Advance!
