So these are the custom braces on the car the rears will be coming out as the car will be having a full cage, so if anyone is interested in buying them.......wont be for a while though.loads of other pics that i will post up over the coming days, sorry if these are a bit big unsure how to resize

Nice build, its a brave man who puts a metal battery cover that close to the battery terminals with them exposed. it wouldnt take much in an accident or rear end shunt to push those terminals into the cover and short circuit the battery with resulting explosion of acid. Especially given that a track accident could  involve going rear end first into armco or other obstruction.

the battery is wedged into the cover and the battery is held down with oem battery clamps + extra bracing, there is some added foam padding now internal of the top lid and on the underneath of the lid itself, but to be fair if that battery moves or that cover bends im in serious trouble as i would of had a major accident!

So not posted for a while, and to be fair i've not done a lot on the car apart from some custom fabrication work that i can't really take any credit for, however i've now stepped up my interest again after seeing Alex's(alex_e) car and the motivation and enthusiasm he has for it.

So here are a few pics of the fabrication work, and should hopefully be fitting the oil cooler from the group buy along with some LCD gauges in custom wrapped pods:

So firstly since last post I have fitted gtb2260 with tubular manifold and an uprated clutch from xman to handle the power. The boost isn't fully wound up yet but clutch feels good/OEM no problems of yet but it's early days.

Removed radio and top air vents for this custom setup but want to make it neater just not sure how to go about it really need somewhere else for the rear screen heater and hazard light switch as it looks poor as it is

Not sure if the custom air box will make any difference but i think it looks cool.

Battery has been relocated to boot and used some 50mm welding cable to do this as it's very flexible and so fairly simple to run in once through the firewall

Seem to have lost pics of battery boot install so will update at a later date with pics.

This was really simple to do and I disabled the airbag via vcds. Wheel has a horn on it and auto cancel indicators still work.

FMIC installation took a bit of time a lot of custom pipe cut and then welded up by a mate nearby but it all came together well in the end and now have a single pass fmic instead of dual pass which I had before which I don't think flowed aswell
