OCTAVIA MKIII HEAD UNIT REMOVAL

Featured Replies

HI

I have recently purchased a skoda octavia elegance estate. i really love the car :)

the only thing letting it down (for me) is the sound system.

i have the amusenden head unit (i think)

the bass is just not punchy enough.

so i am intending on installing a subwoofer and amp.

i have a low line level converter so i will have RCA.

i just need to know how to remove the head unit (without breaking anything) :)

can anyone help me?

i have attached a picture of the head unit

thank you very much!!

It's the cd / sd card unit in the glovebox that needs to be removed, I believe.

Don't forget that the Golf mk7 Dynadudio option has the subwoofer which fits inside the 18" space saver spare wheel...........it is very good & gets it out the way.............also known as a Helix brand for dealer after fit I think?..........

thank you very much!! this is exactly what i needed :)

And yes, the screen is just that - a screen mainly.  The actual amplifier etc is part of that unit in the glovebox.
