Just took delivery of new Octy! Columbus HDD Size

Featured Replies

Hi all! Have to say I'm thrilled to be the owner of a new VRS with heaps of options.

Will post pics soon (promise) but want the weather to be a little better than lashing rain before I do so!

Quick Q for those in the know -

Re: The Columbus. I notice I didn't get an SD card with the system. Can I update the maps using any USB/Sd card or will I have to get in touch with Skoda to send me out one?

Also - the HDD. I copied a load of FLAC files to it but noticed the HDD only has 11GB available in total. Is the Map data really so much that it practically fills the system? Any way of squeezing out a bit more so I can stick some more tracks on it?

Thanks all! Am loving the wheels. Already getting looks..!

Any 32gb or larger sd card will do the trick.

As far as I know, this generation Columbus has a smaller hd than the last one, so less Space left for music.

But luckily you have two SD card slots and a USB port so you can just store your music on a card or a thumb drive.
