Those wheels are mean!!!

I think it looks especially good since its a silver car - vast amount of silver and chrome going on there. Next job, colour coded handles?

Thanks Tony. I reckon 19" will fit you know. These are 8" wide sat on 215/35 tyres, and no catching at all. So 7x19" should be lovely on 215 or 205/30.

Have you got some piccys on an octy ... saw some of these on a Bora (19" though) and wondered what they would look like on my octy (Well I was thinking of the 17" ones actually)

I never realised 18s would fit on a Fabia. They suit very well.

Nice one.

nice

lovely wheels sir

Well, had the wheels for nearly a week now, and here is my findings regarding performance issues.

I was at angelsey circuit on sunday, so on saturday, the 16" 5 spoke tt wheels went on the car, and all of the rear seats, spare tyre, carpet, mats and whatever else was removed.

Yesterday, i put the 18" wheels back on, took it for a drive, and there was quite a noticable difference in performance loss. Cornering ability has not changed really, only my fear of rolling off the tyre onto the rim, so cornering is slower in that respect. Traction away from the line is marginally better in the dry, but significantly improved in the wet, which is clearly down to more tyre in contact with the road.

Having put the seats and indeed the rest of the car back together, the car feels even more sluggish. It's not slow by any stretch of the imagination, but with 16" wheels on and stripped out, i can barely change up gears fast enough.

As for mpg, i cant say, as i dont make any regular journeys at the same speed etc.

Next track day try 15" a lot more fun, easier to get worn out ones for a fiver, mind you you'll need to put the standard brakes back on, but wrecking
