Elegance spec has been renamed SE L??

And "Style" in other European markets.

Elegance spec has been renamed SE L??

 

 

I might put a rewrite on the swear filter, to make 'SE L' in to elegance. I smell a cunning plan to have SE L, L+, L- etc variants...

What's the issue with it being SE L? From my point of view, they can call the different spec levels what they like. It's the lot that comes with it I'm interested in.

SE L just shouts Vauxhaul Astra.

 

Skoda is meant to be about being different and smart... SE and that is pandering to the mass market so they can easily compare a skoda SE to an insigna SE

 

Not to mention 10+years of knowing what elegance meant

So you have those SE etc. names on other brands as well? I wonder why the UK gets those for specs that have the same name in all most markets.

Interesting comments, not sure I agree though, if only 'cos in BMW world SE = Standard Equipment, or entry level!

 

ISTR that "Elegance" was first used by Mercedes, but I'm not a favourite of it as a name.

If my next Superb is an SE-L, I'll be happy to live with it as long as it doesn't carry any badges..............

Opels are still sold under the Vaxhall banner here in the UK so a few things are different.....bit like they are Holdens in OZ and were for a time Saturns in the US and Canada.

I knew that but didn't realize the spec names were different even though the models are the same.

 

And more interestingly different the same way they are for Skoda and possibly other makes as well.
