Headlight connector.

Featured Replies

I have a 2008 octy vrs with xenons. I'm trying to get the headlight to try and figure out how to flatten the beam for driving to France. The problem I have is, how do you get the black electrical connector of the back of the headlight. If any also know how to change the beam that would be a bonus.

Did you ever figure this out?  Struggling myself to separate the connector

You remove the plastic nut then pull the leaver to release the headlight.

Pull the light forward and the cable connector has a tab you push down to release it. If the light hasnt been out for a while it can be very stiff

Thanks, I think it's just stiff.  At least I know you have to push it down.  Will give it a try next weekend

Successfully managed this today. I still couldn't unclip it easily but I removed the two wire bits and the access box to the bulbs and this allowed me to turn the whole headlight unit 180 degrees and then I could easily see the clip on the connector and this made it much easier.

I usually give the connector (not the metal electrical bits) and the light housing runners a spray with silicon spray (Back to Black etc) before putting it back together. Makes it easier to take out next time.
