Canton speaker - anyone know actual specifications

Featured Replies

Trying to sort my speaker rattle with Skoda but fear one of the mid Cantons may have blown (as more than a rattle now, a bit of 'cracking' at higher volume bass).

So does anyone know the specs for these e.g. wattage / size - diameter and depth (is it 6.5inch) etc.

Just wondering if I need a new speaker, is there a better option to replace the speakers. Maybe chuck some dynamat in the door also at the same time. Obviously i'd be looking to change in at least pairs (front then rear probably).

How good is the Canton speaker itself - at what level of 'aftermarket' component speakers would be better quality?

I posted a diagram with sizes and specification quiet recently, let me check.

Doh.

I just spotted the new thread and thought you needed someone that could speak Cantonese to help you.

i will get back to reading the forum posts.

make sure you don't have anything in the door compartments. it drove me mad until i realised it was a parking clock or a water bottle that was rattling
