Car alarms are a pain. I removed the sirens in my cars with factory fitted alarms - they just go off at 2:00 in the morning and upset all the neighbours....

Even so,i'm suprised they qualify for such a low group from the insurance companies without an alarm and immobiliser factory fitted as standard.

If you lock the steering wheel and panic and think you've immobilised your car, then yes, yes it does

In all seriousness I'm pretty sure it does, in fact I know it does, one of the reasons why I can't put a VW Up! speedometer into the car is because the immobiliser is partly built into the speedo

Has an immobiliser and deadlocks.

I think all new cars have immobilisers nowadays, that's why car theft has dropped so much, for the average car thief now its better to break into your house and nick the keys.

 

Agree on alarms, leave a window open and alarm goes off, get a moth in there and alarm going off,  my sat nav dropping off the window set my Volvo alarm off at 2am!!
