I'm new to the forum, I'm looking to buy a Fabia VRS budget around £3000. I live in Northumberland but my family are from Kent, so the fuel economy couple with the performance of the pd130 engines is the biggest attraction for me.

 

I have seen a couple on eBay and Gumtree, is there anything in particular to look out for? Common faults etc.

Welcome.  Buy mine just by an lsd & it be a weapon.

 

Just make sure cambelt been done ideally with waterpump.

rear door seals leaking very common problem.

Watch out if your looking at any in Northumberland!!! I found, what I thought was a lovely standard black 06 one and was about to do the deal and thought I would HPI it even thought was told it was totally fine........

Came back it was a Cat C which didn't really bother me as I've had cars before that have been C or D but it affects the price massively!

The seller said he got it from a dealer and he said it was fine........ I found the original add from the garage and guest what it said.... Cat C.

Hope no one buys it!!
