Well there is confusion apparently on the mitsumi and apple car play according to David, there is some licencing issue with apple in ireland at present about the car play

If smartlink/applecar play is there then no mitsumi

Now I remember the licencing being mentioned....hopefully it gets sorted. Im Android so not a massive issue for me, but ya never know I might change....so dont want a car dictating which phone I have to get.

Btw what part of the country are you from?

Have you had other Skoda's?

Hopefully it does get sorted as have the same view as yourself! 

 

I live in Carlow and commute up to Dublin (sandyford) daily but from Cork originally. 

 

I haven't had Skoda's themselves but have had VAG all my life sofar, 3 golfs. 1 A3, 1A4, 3 Passat's. My dad had a 2005 Octavia 1.9tdi and he put 180k miles on it with no problems and he has a yeti now. One of my brothers had a 06 Octavia and 08 VRS and was very happen with them. 

 

So I was looking to change the Passat I have and prices of new Passats with any spec on them are just daft. 

 

Skoda and Octavia's represent the best all round package and in my opinion the current Octavia is the best looking VAG car at present reminds me of 01-05 A4. Which I still think is a really good looking car.
