Hi, I have a 2000 Skoda Fabia 1.4mpi comfort and when I'm driving it sometimes it feels as though it is about to cut out, the revs drop and go back up rapidly. Normally when going 40 and in 5th gear and accelerating. And sometimes when the revs are low and I try to accelerate. And sometimes when idle the car will just cut out. I've heard that it can be a problem with the cat but I don't really want to have to de cat the car as this will fail the MOT and give bad emissions. I hope someone can help me with a solution for this?

You really need to get it scanned for fault codes as this could be caused by a number of things (coil pack, MAP sensor, throttle body, Lambda sensor, water temp sensor etc).
