Hi-vis vest holder under driver's seat.

Featured Replies

Should the vest be there on an SE ?

It's a void for you to fill! I bought a high viz from Amazon for about £3... It's a shame they don't put a warning triangle and high viz jacket as standard as they don't cost much... Even if it was on the higher spec models.

AFAIK it's not given on any model.

I bought This it includes Hi Vis Vests, warning triangle and first aid kit.

Better idea is to bin it and replace it with a far more useful underseat drawer instead.

Can a draw be fitted under 'our' drivers seat?

I fitted drawers under both seats of my SE plus. The drawers don't fit if you have an electric seat.

Did you source the bits required from a wrecker or are they able to be ordered from a dealer?

They were original Skoda bits, but wreckers might have 'em

So they're available for both sides?

yeap, there was a posting couple of years ago about 'em - cannot recall the poster etc, try a search! s'my age yer know!  ; - ))

might have been listed as under seat storage!

I paid £59.90 for the pair from my local dealer about 3 years ago. Check carefully when ordering as it's not a kit but a collection of components with drawers, runners and fittings all separate. I still had to engage my friend Mr E Bay for a spire clip.

They look neat and they are  useful but they are not very big.

I fitted them myself as have a few other and there are some fitting guides on the forum. You can fit them with the seats bolted down but there is not a lot of room and it's a real faff!. It's much easier to unbolt the front seat runner spline bolts and loosen the rear ones and this allows the seat to flop back against the rear seat and give you much more room. Be careful of the electrical connections that you do not disturb them but in my case there was sufficient slack to not cause any issue.

"age" ....know whatcha mean....my 'card file' system is a bit of a muddle also ))))

Just to clarify, the draw is under the passenger seat for all markets?

when i bought mine 3 years ago the drawer was only standard on the elegance model in the UK and as far as I remember only under the passenger seat. The drawers are 'handed' ie left and right are different.

Skoda are at will to make any different spec for any market

I got a hi vis jacket from Poundland. Slightly off topic, has anyone found a triangle that actually fits in the aperture? I have an old VAG triangle but it's too big
