    Simply Clever. :-)

  • So, literally £6.99 on eBay and it makes such a good difference on our keys. Loving the premium feel. Chrome key top. A bit sad but I love it! http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/1x-Genuine-New-VW-Golf-Mk7-Chro

I randomly browsed the Skoda car configurator today and noticed, in the images after speccing the Simply Clever pack, the image for the media holder is different.

The one that we early birds got is, quite simple, shyt, and can barely fit any modern phones.

This looks quite interesting! Anybody know how to find the part number etc?

Came with the car. Now found in a bin somewhere. Dont use it as it will stick to the phone and prohibit a cup of coffee to be proper placed....

Edit, oh, may be a new design. Still occupying the coffee cup space. :)

I've turned mine into a very handy pen holder ! Not fumbling for pen in bottom of storage bins anymore! Even though the iPhone fits in it - it's not the greatest place for getting optimum signal.

I'm sure someone posted a suction phone holder on here that fixed nicely onto the dashboard strip.

Think I will go for one of those when my car arrives

Not a fan of the way it effectively kills both cupholders.  Im hoping that with Carplay showing everything I want, there wont be a need to mount the phone anywhere.  I've found the tray under handbrake works perfectly in my dad's Polo - hoping for the same here

Yep think that was me. It's the Montar Grip (from Amazon) and works a treat attached the the glossy black trim of the beige interior. Concern is that it may not work as well on any other surface trim, I.e. The matte surfaces of the grey or black trims.

I'm awaiting a Monte Carlo which I recall has a glossy carbon fibre interior trim, so the Montar Grip will be perfect!

Thanks for the info

Does anyone have any of the following accessories from Superskoda?:

I'm trying to gauge the quality? Is the stuff from that site any good and more the point do they look any good fitted?

Cheers in advance!

Yep - I got the Martinek rear bumper protector from them - and it's good so far !

It looks well. Cheaper than the Skoda one - and I didn't like the sound of the word Glossy!! A part that's going to get some use and abuse needs to be NOT glossy !!

The Mudflaps are genuine Skoda. They work well. Make sure you get the ones for the Estate/Combi - the 6V9 code rather than the 6V6 code. ( http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/FABIA-III/Fabia-III-Combi-original-Skoda-mud-flaps-REAR )

Dithane

Do you have some pics of your car with the mudflaps ? Or some on the web, i don't find any :(

Well - on the Forum here - in Fabia Pictures and the Monte thread - there's these :

And mine :

As you see - they're very discreet - hardly notice them!

My car came with mudflaps as oem front. Not back, by some reason.

Winter wheels now mounted.

Thanks Dithane and pfaff ;) I think i will take the front and rear.

So what other phone mounts do you guys use?

I considered for a second Kenu Airframe+, but on second thoughts I realized it wouldn't be a good idea as it would obstruct Bolero + it would be pointed upwards, as the vents themselves are already positioned that way. The only way it would work is if I put it on the driver side window vent, but I find it inconvenient from my seating position - i.e. it's partially obstructed by the wheel plus it would be a pain when you were to charge the phone (the wire)...

Any other suggestions? Maybe iOttie?

Scocshe Magic Mount Universal Dash / Window Magnetic Car Holder

I'm happy with this one. I use a case where with the included magnet between case and phone. This works very well. The viability depends a bit on you phone, using a case or not etc. The base is securely mounted on the dashboard. I bought it as I did not want to have anything on the window.

Phone mount? Phone stay in my pocket, calls, numbers etc are displayed, double if you want, at the microdot or whatever they name it, and the bolero screens.

Thanks, that looks pretty good. Do you happen to have any pics of how it looks on the dash of your car?

I see, but sometimes I'd like to use my phone for navigation, so in that case I'd need a phone mount..

Sure. I will take a picture next time I'm in the car.

Brodit do very good mounts for over the central air vents but without blocking them or the adjuster ring. Go to the Brodit site and tell them what car and what device you want to mount. They will respond with correct parts. Not all parts are listed on the drop-down search boxes, you have to ask. Had Brodit mounts in my last two cars and just bought a mount for a TomTom in mybFabia.

I think everyone should buy this armrest if they do long journey travels.

The Link:https://amzn.to/2SD42zZ

The features which it comes with is they come with charging ports which is easy for the passengers while on the go and another feature is the driver can store things inside the armrest.

Also I will also recommend footwell light to match with the interior:

I have those but there's no where to stick the front passenger lights. Because under the glove box is sort of a crosshatch plastic net thing, it keeps falling off. (using double sided tape)
