Does anyone have experience of using one of those cameras that fit on the dash/windscreen to record what is happening outside?

I was wondering if there is one which will fit the attachment used for the PID - which I have given up on. Thanks.

Your looking for a dashcam? If so you won't find one to fit to the PID, I've got one stuck behind the mirror and hard wired in

I have a Nextbase, hardwired by Halfords - very professional install, powers on and off with ignition and the wires are completely unseen. They use an additional cable to hardwire leaving the cigarette lighter cable free in case you want to temporarily transfer camera to another car.

BlackVue, though not hardwired in as come October the Citigo will be replaced. Camera located on the "Citysafe" sensor - no issues so far. Wiring fed through roof panel and into the pillar trim.

 

Was going to hard wire it in but due to the above and the fuse box location is right by my foot so didn't want to catch it.
