Ha. My local deal have had my 65 plate spaceback twice now and failed to add smartlink. Keep (apparently) getting bad instructions from Skoda UK. Hopefully they will not actually break the head unit like they did last time. Maybe on the third attempt the loaner will be a better car too.

Got SmartLink activated yesterday and Android Auto works flawlessly with both my Sony Xperia Z5 Premium and the missus' LG Nexus 5X.

The most important thing to get Android Auto to work is to disable MirrorLink both in the phone and in the infotainment before connecting them with Android Auto the first time.

Have you tried it with another iPhone or an android phone to make sure that its working properly? Are you on the latest version of iOS?

I guess it's actually more of a question to make sure it isn't enabled wich is done in the settings menu somewhere depending on what phone you have.

 

But in the infotainment uncheck everything about Mirrorlink and set Android Auto as the prefered option before you connect the phone for the first time.

yes I have done that on the car, set to Android Auto but my LG G4 occasionally decides that Mirror Link is the way to go. I can't find any way to turn it off.

I hope Android Auto does this, as Bolero apparently refuses to set the clock from RDS or DAB. I need to remember to check its accuracy.

DesactivateTouch ID & Passcode. Activate Siri

Switch off then Switch On your Iphone

Try It with your smartlink

When it works... Activate your passcode.
